Veezon (operated by Ukani Platforms) is the data fiduciary for personal data processed on the Platform. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the controls you have.
1. Scope
This policy applies to everyone who uses the Platform — Buyers, Sellers, and casual visitors — whether on the web, via our APIs, or through communications we send (email, SMS, WhatsApp, in-app notifications).
2. Data we collect
2.1 Data you give us directly
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Account | Name, mobile, email, password (stored as a hash), address book |
| Seller-specific | GSTIN, PAN, legal entity name, business address, bank account for payouts, store slug, profile description |
| Order & wallet | Order history, shipping address, payment method chosen, wallet balance, V-Coins, cashback |
| Content | Product listings, product images, reviews, complaint messages, bulk-inquiry threads, WhatsApp opt-in preferences |
2.2 Data we collect automatically
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Device & connection | IP address, user agent, browser type, approximate location derived from IP |
| Session | Authenticated session ID (see Cookies policy), CSRF token |
| Engagement | Product views, likes, shares, wishlist additions, recently-viewed history |
| Logs | Access logs, error logs, WhatsApp send/delivery logs, order-status transitions |
2.3 Data from third parties
We may receive verification results from GSTIN and bank-verification providers, transaction status from payment aggregators (Razorpay, UniquePay), and shipment tracking events from courier partners.
3. How we use your data
- To operate the Platform — create your account, show relevant listings, process orders, run seller payouts, apply V-Coins.
- To fulfil Orders — share shipping details with Sellers and courier partners, generate invoices.
- To communicate with you — order status, delivery updates, complaint responses, security alerts, receipts.
- To prevent fraud and abuse — detect suspicious accounts, disputed transactions, and Platform misuse.
- To improve our services — analyse engagement, run experiments, fix bugs, plan capacity.
- To send marketing — only where you have opted in (e.g. WhatsApp notifications, email newsletters); you can withdraw at any time.
- To comply with law — tax invoicing, GST reporting, responses to lawful requests, grievance handling.
4. Legal basis
Under the DPDP Act, we process personal data on the basis of your consent (for marketing communications and optional features) and on the basis of legitimate use for performing the Platform's core services (order processing, fraud prevention, seller payouts, legal compliance).
5. Who we share data with
| Recipient | What is shared & why |
|---|---|
| Sellers | Buyer name, shipping address, contact number, order items and quantity — strictly to fulfil the Order and to communicate about it. |
| Courier partners | Pickup / delivery address, package weight, contact number — to move the shipment. |
| Payment aggregators | Order amount, buyer name, contact — to collect payment. Card / UPI details are handled by the aggregator; Veezon does not store them. |
| Communication providers | Mobile / email / WhatsApp send lists to dispatch transactional and (opted-in) marketing messages. |
| Verification providers | GSTIN, PAN, bank account number and IFSC to verify seller onboarding. |
| Law enforcement / regulators | Only on receipt of a valid, lawful request, and only what is required by that request. |
| Corporate transactions | In the event of a merger, acquisition, or reorganisation, data may transfer to the successor entity; we will notify you if this happens. |
We do not sell your personal data.
6. How long we keep data
- Account & profile — while your account is active, plus a reasonable inactivity window before deletion.
- Orders & invoices — retained for the period required under tax and accounting law (currently 8 years in India).
- Complaints & disputes — retained for the resolution period plus a reasonable audit window.
- Logs & engagement — aggregated after 90–180 days where possible; raw logs deleted per retention schedules.
- Marketing preferences — retained until you withdraw consent, plus a short buffer to honour opt-out.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law — including the DPDP Act, 2023 — you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- Erase personal data (subject to legal retention obligations noted above).
- Withdraw consent for optional processing (e.g. marketing messages) at any time.
- Nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in case of death or incapacity.
- Raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer, and then, if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@veezon.in from your registered email address.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect data at rest and in transit — HTTPS across the Platform, hashed passwords, CSRF protection, HTTP-only session cookies with SameSite Strict, restricted server access, and encrypted database backups. No system is perfectly secure; if you suspect an incident, please contact us immediately.
9. Children
Veezon is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us information without appropriate consent, contact support@veezon.in and we will delete it.
10. International transfers
Some of our service providers may process data outside India in accordance with the DPDP Act. Where such transfers happen, we take reasonable steps to ensure a comparable level of protection through contractual and technical measures.
11. Third-party sites
The Platform links to third-party websites (couriers, payment aggregators, social channels). Those sites have their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for their content or handling of your data.
